What To Do Audit
Let's Identify Where to Focus Your Energy
Before you jump into execution, you need clarity on what’s actually worth tackling first.
Not just what serves your big vision—sometimes it’s the thing that’s been poking you in the eye and you can’t focus on anything else until it’s handled. The outdated About page. The pricing structure that doesn’t make sense anymore. The social media posts that never get done because you loathe the idea but think that’s a necessary marketing activity (it isn’t).
What it is, what gets done
A What To Do Audit helps you identify what’s draining your bandwidth, where to focus your energy for maximum impact, and create a priority roadmap that makes sense for your situation—both right now and as things evolve.
What you’ll walk away with:
- A prioritized action plan for what to tackle first
- A clear accounting of potential pitfalls or patterns that might sabotage your progress moving forward
- Confidence that your next steps align with where you want to go—both now and as things evolve
- Documentation of everything we uncovered for your reference and to guide yourself or a support partner (another freelancer, a business partner, or me 😉) in executing the next steps
Some people do an Audit and then immediately book a Sprint to execute what we mapped out. Others take the roadmap and tackle things themselves. A few discover they need deeper foundation work first through a Partnership. All of those are fine outcomes.
More details on workflow
Sessions are conducted via Zoom (Teams or Google Meet available upon request) and typically book 1-3 weeks out based on availability. Plan for up to 90 minutes of one-on-one strategic consultation. Here’s how the process unfolds:
Before our call
You'll complete a comprehensive assessment—an online questionnaire that covers what you're doing now across various parts of your business. Your behind-the-scenes systems, marketing activities, communication channels, and more. It helps identify not just what you want to do, but why there's any disconnect between where you are and where you want to be. Is it resources? Time? A mindset block? Past experience making you hesitant? I'll review your assessment looking for opportunities for improvement, integration, possible new approaches you haven't considered, and areas that might be in conflict and creating unnecessary friction. By the time we hop on our call, I'm ready to dive right in to the good stuff.
During our 90-minute session:
We dig into what your assessment revealed. Together we identify what's draining your resources, where to focus your energy for maximum impact, and create a priority roadmap that makes sense for your situation. I might also do some live teaching during our session—like setting up a Canva account if you need better graphics, or walking through a tech tool that's been intimidating you. Think of it as strategic direction + mini-training session rolled into one.
After our call:
You receive a comprehensive written session summary with key insights and action items, plus an optional recording of our session if you'd like it.
"Right fit" guidance
It’s important we’re both confident this is the right fit. If you’ve read this far and you’re thinking it sounds good but aren’t sure if it works for your situation, here are a few more cues about when it’s definitely the right call, when you might want to consider something else, or when you might want to schedule a call to chat through more details.
A What To Do Audit works well if:
- You’re more DIY-oriented but need strategic direction and validation
- You feel scattered in your strategic thinking and need focus
- You have specific questions or stuck points but not necessarily a full project
- You want to “test drive” working with someone before committing to more
- You prefer getting a roadmap and implementing it yourself
It probably isn’t the right fit if:
- You’ve recently completed a thorough strategic planning session for your business and feel really solid about what you’ve come up with—though even then, if you’re introducing a new revenue stream, client base, marketing strategy, or feeling friction about something, it could be worth revisiting
- You aren’t interested in aligning your actions with your vision and goals—if you’re more of a “throw spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks” person, that’s fine (me, too, sometimes!), but that’s not the approach we’ll take here
Price
$300 (going to $450 after January 2026)
Common questions
If you decide to move forward with a Sprint within 30 days of your audit, you’ll get credit for what you paid toward the Sprint. Think of the audit as a strategic foundation that makes the Sprint even more effective.
Most consultations focus on telling you what to do. The Audit focuses on helping you understand what’s actually happening—the underlying patterns creating drag in your business—so you can make informed decisions about what to tackle and when, both right now and as things evolve in the future.
If you have a clear sense of what needs doing and you’re ready to execute, go straight to Sprint. If you’re feeling scattered or have a long list and aren’t sure where to start, the Audit gives you clarity first.
Just the assessment questionnaire I’ll send after you book. It takes about 20 minutes to complete and gives me context before our call so we can use our time together strategically.
You might wonder why it’s so comprehensive. Here’s the thing: you know your business because you’ve been living in it. But for me to get to the level you need me at to give you really good strategic, actionable advice, I need to get to know your business quickly and deeply. That’s what the assessment does.
And it’s not just helpful for me—you’ll have access to this assessment too. As you’re filling it out, you might discover things you hadn’t thought about implementing, or you might celebrate what you’re already doing well that you didn’t realize counted.
That’s completely fine! The Audit is designed to give you a clear roadmap whether you implement it yourself, hire me for a Sprint, or work with someone else entirely. You’ll own all the insights and recommendations.
